FAQ
Here are short answers to the most common questions. You’ll find the full details in the FAQ.
Brooke and the support team answer by email.
Take a practice test of each first, then choose based on how you perform. One test is usually enough. The ACT® tends to be less forgiving, with more score variance, so the SAT® is often the lower-risk choice on a short timeline.
No. Colleges consider both equally. More schools allow superscoring for the SAT®, which can help if you test more than once, and National Merit candidates may need the SAT® to confirm their PSAT results.
The SAT® and ACT® courses are fully self-paced video courses. If you want accountability, optional paid private tutoring is available separately.
Opt in when you sign up to get limited access, including sample lessons. Many course assets, including most downloads, stay locked until the subscription is paid. Unless you cancel before the 5 days end, your card is charged automatically.
No. It’s a one-time charge for 6 or 12 months of access, and it doesn’t auto-renew. Extensions are available if you need more time.
No. Course videos can’t be downloaded. ACT® math and English drills come as PDFs you can print, so that practice can happen on paper.
If you complete the self-paced course and don’t improve, you can get a free extension or your money back, subject to the guarantee terms.
